The printed motif is a bold reinterpretation of René Magritte's iconic work, "The Treachery of Images".

In this version, the central element of the composition, the pipe, has been replaced by a basketball.
This striking artistic diversion merges art and sport, while maintaining the reflective intent of the original work; a captivating visual paradox, questioning the nature of artistic representation.
It explores the distinction between the object and its representation, meditating on the deception of art and the perception of reality.

By replacing the pipe with these essential sports objects, Euphron prompts us to reflect on the multiple issues associated with these sports. Beyond the action on the field, these disciplines encompass profound economic, social, emotional, and identity questions.

Balls and basketballs become complex symbols of competition, passion, rivalry, and unity. Just as Magritte questioned the reality of the image, this artistic reappropriation invites us to consider the broader meaning and impact of sports in our lives, highlighting that these seemingly simple objects carry much deeper and nuanced dimensions.
